Emergence…

I become aware of my body… focusing in on my embodied experience in the moment…  sensations… emotions…1.start frogI choose colours that resonate  and make movements with the brush to express what I’m experiencing…  I don’t know which way is up…  I flip the canvas… highlighting what feels right… 3. pre frogAs my mood changes I play with darker colours… I focus on my breath… breathing deeply into what’s emerging…  I start to feel tension building in my chest…4. emerging frogI am drawn to the calm of the blue and I cover up the parts I don’t like… flipping the canvas again I pick up a cloth and scrub back through the layers…5. final frogI surround what feels right with darker blues… I see a creature emerging… “Coming out of the darkness”, I say to myself… my whole body feels lighter as I recognise this truth.

My companion says “it looks like a frog“.
I look at my companion and say, “I am not a frog”.
